Cheryl Deines was Born in Wyoming and raised in a small town in Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska graduating with a bachelors degree in social work. She worked with Child Protective Services for ten year. While working she attended graduate school and graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work in 1999.
In the Fall of 1998, she began an internship with hospice. She fell in love with hospice work, believing that it is a sacred, beautiful time to be with people. She has worked as a bereavement counselor and medical social worker for the last sixteen years, doing hospice work in both San Diego, CA and Honolulu, HI.
On more than one occasion, she has sold everything she owned and left the security of all she knew in order to live more fully. She has taken a trip around the world (on a social worker's income), faced loss head on, sang in front of two hundred people when she was terrified to sing, lived in Hawaii when her heart called her to do so, and donated her kidney when her sister needed one. She lives fully and is not willing to settle . She attributes her bold approach to life to her years of working in hospice and the lessons she learned from her patients. She applies these lessons to her own life in order to live a life of fulfillment and joy.
In 2012 she started a company called Boldly Living Now Coaching. She was inspired by her years of hospice work to support others in achieving their dreams. Her goal is to help people to get to the end of their lives without the regrets she often heard while working with the dying. Through this work she teaches, coaches and inspires others.
Cheryl is also a Reiki Master and Certified Past Life Regressionist. She uses this training and her intuition to take people through a life transforming process of Spiritual Excavation. During this process she assists her clients in connecting with that deeper, wiser part of their psyche to answer questions about their life and purpose. Deep healing has occurred during these sessions.
She currently resides in Carlsbad, CA where she facilitates writing, creativity, visioning and women's empowerment groups in order to help people to connect to their passion and purpose. She is devoted to sharing the knowledge she gained through her work with the dying to inspire others to live more courageously. And does so through speaking engagements.
She is also thrilled to be sharing this message through her up and coming book. The Final Dance to be released early next year.
